Merry Christmas: Celebrate His Birth!

Christmas is here again!
Malachi is now 2 1/2 years old! He is a crazy, sweet, adorable, affectionate, loving, mischievous and ornery boy. He brings so much joy, excitement and sometimes frustration :) to our home!
The other exciting news is that Malachi and I are awaiting the adoption of Baby Miller #2! We have been waiting for four months now. The wait could be very short or very long but we are trusting the Lord's timing. Malachi, of course, wants a brother :)

Here is the Miller happenings for 2014:

January:
Snow, snow and more snow! That about sums it up! We had a pet cat for about three weeks but Mommy decided our home wasn't made for pets ;)
At the Children's Museum on Colt's Day
Wow! The Super Bowl trophy!
February:
Malachi and I met new friends - our single adoptive mom group! We enjoy getting together with these ladies and their kids. They have been a great support to us.
Malachi also turned 2 at the end of February! It is amazing how fast he has grown. He's such a smart boy!

We participated in the Great North Run - a fund raiser for my school district's foundation.
We also took a trip to Iowa to visit our friend Lori during the beginning of my Spring Break with a trip to the Children's Museum with Debbie and Miriam after we got home.

May:
My oldest nephew, Connor, graduated from Indiana University! What a fun day!
My school year was a little longer due to all of the snow we had this winter.
I sure was anxious to finish up the school year to start our summer.
We love this guy!
Congratulations, Connor!

July:
For the 4th of July we spent the early afternoon swimming with my brother-in-law's family (who are like family to us). Then we went to Newton County (where I grew up) to go to a big party with my dad's former landlord. Always a fun time!
Malachi and I got to have Noah and Daniel (my two youngest nephews) at our house for a week while John and Pam were in Mexico celebrating their 25th anniversary. We had a great time with them!
We had more trips to the zoo and museum - having zoo and museum passes is great! We also went to the Indiana Dunes with my friends Melissa and Dustin. Malachi also got his first visit to Fair Oaks Farm - a big dairy farm near where I grew up.
Happy 4th of July!

First time using sparklers!

Fun at the park!

August:
Malachi got to go on his first daycare field trip. They went to the Indiana State Fair. He had a great time! We love Malachi's daycare teacher - Mrs. Theo!
Football season also started for my two youngest nephews. Still hard to keep Malachi in one place but much better than last year and we love to support our boys!

October:
The first week of October was my fall break. Malachi woke up from a nap on the first day of my break with his first true bout with the stomach flu. Sure not how I expected to spend our break. At the end of the week we finally got to go to Champaign, Illinois to see Sean and Debbie's new house. It was a fun weekend visiting with them.
We also got to go to a pumpkin patch during October - Malachi enjoyed picking out his pumpkin. It was so special to him that he didn't even want me to cut into it :)
For Halloween he dressed up like the cutest little UPS man you have ever seen!
Malachi with his cousin, Miriam!

Awww - cousins!

Check out this bird, Mommy!

With my boy at the pumpkin patch!

Love this goofy kid!

Wouldn't you like him to deliver your packages?!?

November:
Malachi got to ride (and drive!) a combine for the first time! He loved it!
In the middle of November, we went on the Polar Express in French Lick, IN with Sean and Miriam. I pretty much felt like I was just containing Malachi and I was exhausted by the time we were done but now thinking back the memories are much fonder :) Miriam and Malachi had a lot of fun!

A visit with our friend :)

Hope you enjoyed the look at our 2014!
Hoping that your year was great too and that you have a fabulous Christmas holiday.
